Development Paradox
This sub-section focuses on the approach taken by various nations and regions to define ‘economic development’, the dimensions of growth, and the indicators of economic performance.

The paradox lies in the fact that whatever is ‘termed’ as development has put an ‘excessive’ burden on environment. Nature indeed has limited resources and they are needed to be used intelligently.
